Downloaded files are usually compressed or split into parts. After downloading, you will have to extract or join the parts on your computer.
These are the most commonly used programs:

HJSplit - For joining parts ending with .001, .002, etc (sometimes Winrar is needed to extract from these extensions, but it's rare. So, always try to join with HJSplit first).

WinRAR - The best compression and decompression program. It supports all popular file compression formats, like .rar and .zip

K-Lite Codec Pack - To play downloaded music and videos, you must have the required codecs installed on your computer. Uninstall any other codec packs first.
